JOEY VOGEL'S GIFTS FOUNDATION GETS OFF THE GROUND

Joey Vogel's Gifts was established to honor the memory of Joey Vogel and continue his good work to support mental health research and organizations that promote social good.

Joey, our son and brother, was a truly amazing person. He passed away too soon at the age of 31, but left a wonderful legacy of intelligence, warmth, and humor. Most evident was his kindness and good nature. He was creative and enjoyed writing poetry and producing artwork. He had a beautiful voice and in his youth he frequently sang in plays and performed solos with a choir. As a social worker he worked with mentally ill individuals, displaying empathy and expertise. As a friend to many, he shared his wonderful qualities. Most exceptional was his closeness to his family who loved him dearly and whom he loved in return. Joey possessed a wonderful nature. He displayed depth, sensitivity, and a vivid awareness of the variety of life’s experience.
